Armando Martins Engraving Portrait

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

I was contacted by Carlos Aires Studio to create a pen and ink engraving-style portrait illustration of Armando Martins, the founder of the MACAM - Museum of Contemporary Art Armando Martins. The purpose was to include this portrait alongside other well-known individuals' portraits, forming a large composition measuring 4 meters in height and will be displayed on the museum window in Lisbon, Portugal.

THE SOLUTION

After careful consideration, I decided to utilize a photograph of Armando Martins as a reference and create an illustration that maintains the same line style as the existing portraits.
